Kaz Luckins

Kaz is an actress, singer, voiceover artist, director, drama practitioner, fight director and performance combat instructor. Her acting credits are very diverse, ranging from Shakespeare to pantomime villains, princes and fairies with bag ladies and tarts in

As an accomplished director and drama practitioner, she has worked with numerous companies and people right from nursery age up to OAPs over the course of many years.

This will be her fourth year of running the Adult Acting Classes at The Blue Orange Theatre.

Ian trained at the Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art (now Birmingham School of Acting) in the early 1970’s as an actor and a teacher – gaining a LAMDA diploma in teaching Speech and Drama and a Certificate of Education. He taught Drama in a Secondary school, becoming Head of Drama, for six years before becoming a professional actor in 1980

Ian has facilitated many Drama workshops for Amateur Actors and Youth Groups up and down the country. He was a regular teacher at the Swansea Grand Theatre Summer Schools teaching mime, puppetry, stage craft and script analysis amongst other theatre elements.

Ian has been associated with the Blue Orange Theatre since 2012, directing and acting in their professional productions. He also designs and paints sets for the company.

Janaya has been acting from a very young age, gaining stage and screen credits from as young as eleven. Janaya moved to Birmingham from Liverpool in 2001. She graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA (Hons) degree in Drama and English in 2004.

Following this Janaya took on different career paths, including teaching, before entering into TIE working with Loudmouth Theatre Company for five years. During this time Janaya travelled the country performing and delivering workshops for young people and adults.

Janaya has also worked in a freelance capacity as a facilitator, workshop leader and drama coach. Her passion for working with children and especially early years groups, stems from her own two sons. She says that she is constantly in ‘CBeebies’ mode at home with her boys
