Destination: ‘Old Hag’
As Part of Birmingham Fest
Set in a theatre broom cupboard, next to the building’s only toilet, Destination: ‘Old Hag’ is a Buxton Fringe Theatre Award-nominated production that draws on the Ladies’ many years in the world of opera. You may have seen them before as Cigarette Girls, Nuns, and Geishas… tonight, they are the Witches! Despite their numerous appearances, would you recognise them out on New Street? Or know their names? Who really are the people you only seem to see ‘upstage’?
Destination: ‘Old Hag’ was created and written by Samantha Houston, Bridget Hardy and Penny Rossano. It stars Bridget Hardy, Penny Rossano and Samantha Houston – three opera singers with more years’ stage experience than they care to mention… so join them as they chart the ups and downs of life with humour, heart, and some live opera singing!
“[…] it certainly has a delightful freshness about it. I can’t praise it enough.”
