Long ago a king named Shahriar reigned from Persia to the borders of China. The king had a wife whom he loved more than all the world, but one day he retuned home early from hunting to find her in an embrace with a servant. The king ordered his Vizir to put her to death and to bring him a fresh wife every day. Then the following morning he would strangle her. The Vizir’s daughter Scheherazade asks her father to present her to the king and begins enchanting him with a series of stories. But can Scheherazade save the women of Persia from their fate?
